The Bud Light Olde Knights take great pleasure in inviting your team to submit an application for our 33rd Annual Invitational Oldtimers Hockey Tournament to be held at the newly renovated George R. Wallace, Jr. Civic Center in Fitchburg, Massachusetts from March 30, 2009 through April 5, 2009.
This is the Bud Light Olde Knights 33rd year hosting the best and largest Oldtimers tournament in the USA. We are limiting our teams to 52 this year. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games, with a fourth game to the finalists. Gifts will be awarded to the finalists in each division and after each championship game the winning team will celebrate their victory with the traditional toast of champagne. Again, every member of every team that participates in the Tournament will be given a Bud Light Hat for taking part in our Tournament. A free round of beer or soda will be served to all players and coaches after each game.
The Tournament entry fee will be $875 US Dollars per team. A deposit of $400 must be received no later than January, 16, 2009. We had to refuse a great number of teams in the past; we strongly suggest that you send your application and deposit as soon as possible. Please be informed that our past practice of calling teams that did not respond by the registration's deadline to inquire if they will be participating will NOT occur. If you fail to respond, we will assume you are not participating in our Tournament.
Once your team has been accepted, you will be notified at which time you will need to complete a roster form so the Tournament Committee may place your team in the appropriate division.

Hotel Information.
As in the past, the Tournament is open to to players 35 years of age or older. The over 60 division will require only 60 year old and older players (exception - goalies can be 50 and over). Please understand, we will have a total registration, whereby each player is required to have an acceptable picture ID, or two alternative forms of identification, if a picture ID is not available. NOTE: Teams have been disqualified from our Tournament due to the playing of underage players. Everyone needs to understand that this is indeed an "Oldtimers" hockey tournament. Playing under-age players will not be tolerated. Due to previous abuse of this rule, the Tournament officials will conduct random ID checks.
Teams that are located within a 75-mile radius of the George R. Wallace Jr. Civic Center are considered local teams and are expected to play their first game after 6:00 p.m. on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of the Tournament week. Away teams must be available to play their first game by 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2009. It is extremely important that each team representative understands this commitment before the registration of his or her team, as the Tournament Committee must and will stand by the Official Schedule.
The Bud Light Olde Knights Tournament Committee hopes to see your team in March for our 33rd Annual Tournament. Many events are being planned for the entire week. Do not forget to bring your dancing shoes for the traditional Saturday Night dance. A "Calendar of Events" will follow your acceptance letter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
